Dr. Carmen White

For over two decades, Dr. Carmen White has been a powerful force in transforming people and organizations through the art of experiential learning. A renowned motivational speaker, author, leadership coach, drama therapist, and business consultant, she serves as the President and CEO of Dramatic Solutions, Inc., a firm specializing in drama-based training, social-emotional learning, and workforce development.

Dr. White has delivered high-impact professional development and customized training for government agencies, educational institutions, nonprofits, human service providers, and corporations nationwide. Her work aligns with local, regional, and national standards, and she is known for her ability to adapt to the unique needs of each client. By integrating performance-based techniques, cross-cultural engagement, and interactive learning, she fosters meaningful collaboration, boosts morale, and strengthens self-efficacy among individuals and teams.

Her academic foundation is as distinguished as her professional impact. She holds a Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction and Human Development from the University of Maryland, College Park, along with a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Drama, both from New York University. She is also a Board Certified–Registered Drama Therapist and a certified PCM® (Process Communication Model) Trainer.

Dr. White began her performance journey as an original member of the Howard University Children’s Theatre Playmakers Repertory Company, an experience that helped shape her innovative approach to education and leadership. She’s now the Eastern Regional Representative for the National Association for Drama Therapy.

Her commitment to workforce and youth empowerment has earned significant recognition, including the Shining Award from the DC Department of Employment Services for advancing employment opportunities for District residents. In 2025, Dramatic Solutions, Inc. was honored with the Director’s Award from the Department of Parks and Recreation for its outstanding and innovative work with young people.

As the author of three published books, with more currently in development, Dr. White continues to expand her legacy as a thought leader in the fields of drama-based learning, experiential engagement, and empowerment coaching. She teaches individuals and organizations how to invent their future, guided by her lifelong motto: “Where there is no vision, the people perish.”

Dr. Lennie Smith, Ed.D.

COO of Dramatic Solutions, Inc.

Dr. Lennie Smith, Ed.D., is the COO of Dramatic Solutions, Inc. He is a certified PCM® trainer, drama therapist, and educational and communications consultant. His background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Leadership and a Master of Arts in Culture and Interpersonal Communications, both from New York University, and a doctorate in Education from Morgan State University.

Mr. Smith works with individuals and organizations in conflict management, team building, diversity, classroom management techniques, and other trainings viewed as pertinent to one’s personal, educational, and organizational growth. Mr. Smith’s professional experience as a training specialist goes back some twenty years.

He has worked with youth and adults in many different aspects of communication and education and is known for an interactive approach that both entertains and empowers.

His book is entitled “50 Dramatic Engagers for Learning and Performance.” His developmental workshops designed to improve staff proficiency include “Building a Winning Team,” “The 5 Keys to Diversity,” and “Serving Your Customer—Meeting Their Needs.”
